FAQs

Q : Are these doors made of solid Oak?
A : The veneers of these doors, are made of solid and genuine American White Oak. The same applies to the lipping range, which again, is made of solid Oak. The cores of these doors however, is a combination of a particleboard core to give doors their solid structure. So although these doors are not a solid core of Oak, we still classify these doors as " Solid " Oak doors.

Q : Are these glass panels secure?
A : All glass panels implemented in our doors are safety regulated. They meet criterias set nowdays for all glazed units to be toughened. If for arguments sake a child is to smash a glass panel, if the glass breaks, it breaks off into very small minor peices which will minimise the chance of hurting someone. All manufactured doors with glass panels, are bonded together and run through various inspections before being sent off to you as the customer.

Q : Do doors always need plaining?
A : They do indeed! Our carpentry team cannot remember a time where we've put a 30" door in a frame and haven't needed to do some trimming down. It's part of a normal fitting process, to where you will need to take the door out and back in again, just to get the alignment as perfect as you can. Please view our lipping thickness on your items to review how much can be took off.

Q : Are Oak doors okay for External doors if the door is exposed to the weather?
A : No! We don't care what company recommends this, but we have been fitting these doors for over 15 years and if your door is exposed
to the weather, you WILL encounter many problems further down the line.

You may not notice any problems in the first year or two, but we've had countless issues with Oak doors that are not protected by a canopy of some sort, or situated back and protected. We strongly advise looking at an alternative which we can discuss with you a little more in detail via our contact number - 0116 276 7285

Q : I placed an order but need them in 4 days time, please advise.
A : Our average delivery rate is 3-5 working days and our cut off is before 9:30am weekdays. Deliveries are always subject to traffic, as our couriers are travelling up and down the UK, not just local regions in a city where there are many alternative routes to avoid heavy delays. It is our job to keep you informed as to the progress of your delivery and it's extremely important to us that we meet deadlines set by the company. We will do our utmost to make sure these doors are there on time!

Q : Can I just return the doors back if I don't like them?
A : Yes, we offer a 14 day no nonsense return policy. It will be your responsibility to return the goods.
See returns page for details.

Q : Do you do a price match?
A : If you find a door cheaper elsewhere online, from the same manufacturer, we are happy to negotiate.

Q : What is a composite door?
A : A composite door is a product with less hassle than wood and more strength and durability than UPVC. Our Composite doors are a combination of wood, foam and plastic with several years of engineering improvements. The doors are manufactured in the UK and we have been very impressed with the product quality overall. See our composite door range

Q : Do you conduct surveys in Leicester? Are they Free?
A : Weekdays between 4.30pm and 6.00pm and early morning weekends are designated for surveys. They are free of charge, but due to high and popular demand, we will only conduct a survey if the customer has a genuine desire to have doors fitted by us.

Q : Who designed your website?
A : John Cooper and his it'seeze Leicester Team. If you're looking for a great website (and you're not selling doors!), please visit here and enquire!
